    To me this semi was a lot different to the previous two with more varied ideas coming through.

    Shows a lot of development in some styles.

    My favorites (very difficult to choose)

    Boundary Sentinels (so good it almost made me not enter, I am envious)
    This Little Piggy... (sweet and touching, reminds me of my daughter's birth)
    Grounded (interesting and well composed)
    The Incredible Sweetness of Light (another entry that I wish I could do)
    New York: six long years later, and the rain still won't stop (evokes the emotion well)
    Midterms (adding the equations/drawings was the perfect touch)
    resplendent (beautiful light, I hope to be able to do that someday)
    bored (way to capture the moment, made me laugh)
    A Gentleman's Adventure (I love it)
    Water over the Bridge (you took a pretty photo and gave it great interest)

    All the rest were so well done. I am amazed and humbled to be in this contest with so many extremely talented people.

    These are my favorite photos from this round. There were others I liked but they had what I felt was too much noise, or posterization artifacts, so I didn't include them here.

    My top 10 in posted order:

    Boundary Sentinels (Charlie's done a lot of my favorite photos here)
    The place of no pity (wonderful, moody)
    Alone (love the old-school film, color, texture)
    Prophecy (beautiful color and subject)
    Liquid Sunshine (man, you have a way with lighting!! teach me!)
    Pandora's Box (more great lighting, and another of my favorite photogs here)
    To "Air" is human (um, wow)
    Bored (love the story, and the PP!)
    Shamanic dream (stunning abstract!)
    Firing Squad (wonderful composition, and that rifle blast is awesome)

    I also really liked mine, and wish it had done a little better - thanks for the mention, TPB. I'm proud that I qualified three times and was able to participate.
