40D and problems with RAW files

I've had my 40D for about a month now, and only just this morning tried to shoot some RAW files. When I tried to load them into Lightroom, it gives me an error message that the files are either damaged or unsupported. I have no problems with RAW on the same computer system, same memory cards with my XTi, which tells me it must be the camera.

Anyone have a similar problem?

Have you downloaded the most recent update from Adobe? Support for the 40D was only recently added.

http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html will get you started.

What firmware version do you have 1.0.3 works but apparently some of the newer 40Ds with a different firmware are not compatible. I read about this at Bob Atkins Photography. I am not sure of the fix. Check the Canon website. I am pretty sure this is a known problem.
