and I am down to shooting potted plants indoors.
Bugs are a memory only (mostly oof :D ).

#1.
AF 35 f2.0 with reversing ring giving 1:1.4 shot wide open in natural light.
SS= 1/60sec.
Manual focus and exposure by experimenting with the help of the histogram.
Interesting method but not too easy to use.

#2.
Contrasting study with Sigma 150 at 1:1. Aperture = f2.8 SS = 1/250. Dedicated macro flash on lens.

#3.
Aperture = f13, SS= 1/250, flash.

# 4.

    Nice work Phil, lot of time and patience is required for this kind of work.
    Pink is my favourite colour for flowers,
    You've got some really lovely colour in these.
    My favourite in the series is Image No. 2

    I really like these shots and the flower colors are lovely....Trying to get a similar look with a lensbabies...i can get a good background but no way can i get the main area as sharp as yours.....

    We are also having snow this evening...been waiting for ages now as i love to get out and about in it and find things to shoot!!! Have you tried macros of snowflakes...I have seen some really pretty results ans frost on windows is a good thing to macro!!!!

    All the best,

    Thanks Chris! :D
    I have taken CombineZ and Brians excellent tutorial for a few runs already, it really rocks for increased depth of field and ease of use.

    Thank you Patricia. :D Glad you like the pics.

    I used an elbow-"pod" to steady the focusing. Try if you havent, bit damp outside for it now though! :D

    Havent tried lensbabies nor macro in the snow. Was going to go out today, but the thaw got there first.
