A few preliminary street portraits. I'm not so good at street photography and it's been a fun challenge. The range of interesting, story-telling faces here is extraordinary (especially on the older individuals) although most of the good ones go flying by before I can get my camera ready.

Yessir! I am headed home today and although the people here are great I still wake up every morning worried about not being understood. It's much more effective to mime and point than to use my mangled Japanese!
The spiders here are huge.
More shots will of course be forthcoming. I've been so busy running around all week like a headless chicken I'm sure when I actually sit down to look at my files I'll wonder why the heck I took the photo for. Thanks for all your help in the weeks before this trip!!!
