Hi Y'all,

A few shots of an anhinga dealing with its catch.

204849749-L.jpg

the problem ain't with the catch bit with what comes with the fish
204849785-L.jpg

204849802-L.jpg

having swallowed its lunch it now has to get rid of the side salad
204849829-L.jpg

204849845-L.jpg

204849860-L.jpg

it tries to get rid of it by giving it a twirl
204849871-L.jpg

in the end it still had the vegetation hanging from its bill when it dived back below the surface

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Very cool series Harry. Reminds me of the tangled mess I get often times when out fishing. BTW, how was Hawaii?

    Louie

    Thanks Louie.

The first week in Oahu was excellent. The hotel was fantastic and we had a fine time. That was Linda's week as we did the standard tourist stuff and a lot of shopping.

The second week on Maui was my week for photography and I had planned out 3-4 days of driving around the island along the coast and into the mountains. Linda was sick for the first three days and then I caught her bug and was laid up for the next 3 days. On our last day I was feeling better so I decided to get some beach time in. The surf was pretty heavy that morning. As I was trying to get past the breakers a wave was about to break so I turned my body to take the wave. A I turned to the right I heard something go pop in my right leg. It was my hamstring. I couldn't put any weight on my leg so I ended up crawling onto the beach and eventually limping back to my room.

Not too bad, the doc says it was a pull and nothing is torn. I'm about 70% now.

Ouch! I couple of years ago I managed to twist my ankle in a pothole the very first day of my holiday. Not fun!
