    not enough contrast at all!! they're very washed out looking. cute kids though!

    I agree, cute kids, but no contrast on the photos. If you have any editing software you can do wonders with these. :D

    Don't be afraid of losing some detail in the shadows - especially in bright sun! Bright sun in the enemy most of the time when doing portraits... it's SO hard to get it right. just remember, get the exposure right for the face and you should be good.

    The shots are really cute, though, so definitely play around. if you have PS or PS elements, try setting the black point and the white point in your photos for starts and you'll see a drastic improvement on the processed or editing of the photos.

    Keep it up! The photos are cute!

    The third last photo is best in terms of how they should ALL look - bright whites, black blacks and a lot of interest inbetween...

    Welcome to DGrin. No one's going to "kick you out". People here love photos and love to help people make better one; at least I've gotten a lot of help and I sometimes really need it!

    15524779-Ti.gif with what Andi had to say. I would add, though, that if you are intending to print/mount/frame these you need to rethink the cropping on these as well. It appears many of these are not close to "standard" print sizes.
