Actually widest aperture - so 5.6

Also would have helped with the motion blur. You captured a nice moment but the main subject's face is blurred a bit too much from motion blur - the ball is in nice focus as is his waiste but his face is a bit soft. At 5.6 you would have gotten a nice 1/1000 shutter speed which would have gotten you a nice sharp subject.

Contrary to what johng said, I kinda like the blurriness of the players around. It adds to this more "urban" or street scene.

    The framing is really nice.

I feel quite the same as John on the fact that you should've use the widest aperture (f/5.6) and lowered your ISO setting to 100 or lower.

I actually dont like the blur. Although its not the focus of the photo, the face on the guy in the back right is great.

Very cool shot! I'm climbing the learning curve here myself, but I have definitely learned this much:
    Motion Blur: BAD
Bokeh (depth of field blur): FINE

That means, in a context such the one in which you were shooting, maximum aperture in combination with fastest possible shutter speed (Av or set manually). It looks like you could have done that at your sunny venue with a low ISO as well.
