Hi all, I am fairly new to the photography world, and loving every minute of it. I am currently just shooting with a point & shoot Kodak, but I'm saving up to get a SLR within the next couple of months.

Anyway, here is a photo I took yesterday of my 3 year old. CC welcome, as I love to learn and improve.

Lovely portrait, love the shine of light on her head. I would make the total photograph a bit lighter. It seems a bit dark... A bit more light and you are there!

Welcome to DG. That's pretty good pic for a point and shoot camera. Off to a great start by joining here, you'll get lots of great advice and meet some great people along the way. BTW, what part of KY are you in, NE part here.
