All of the digital world is new to me and at the moment I am trying to learn photoshop, had it a few weeks now. I took my shot , that I did with a sony DSC717 Cybershot, cropped it the way I liked it then I went to the filter section and went to the artistic section then did the Dry Brush tool. Played with it for awhile then I went to the highlight/shawdow tool and opened the shot up a bit. Then I went to the saturation tool and added a little more depth. Then I did the banaid tool on the waves in the background that were too hot as not to distract your eye. I am sure I did some dodging and stuff in there also ... I am having fun and learning at the same time but , if I had to replicate this exactly again I doubt that I could for as I messed with the image for quite awhile . I kind of like the effect....Thanks for the positive feedback, it helps my confidence I promise you. I have not really thought about photography since I left New York in 1984 and just recently thought I might be able to get back into creating images for the tourists where I live, we will see... Take Care David Chanter
