Custom size images not working!

How come the first image on my homepage fails to load (Diwali 2007 photo)? Seems to occur more in IE than Firefox. I've tried with many different image sizes (450x300, 495x330, 500x333) and they all seem to fail...

Any help would be much appreciated.
