Suggestion on where to post photos

Can someone tell me how I could determine what forum to post my photos in for comments and or suggestions. Also, can I post my entire website address or just a single link to a photo, ie, http://colz.smugmug.com

It really depends on what you are looking for, and what the photo's subject is. You can post in any of the forums under shots and ask for feedback. For example, if your focus is birds, you might want to post in Nature & Wildlife.

If you're looking for feedback on (or you're just looking to share) a photo, then you should explicitly link to or post the photo. If you want folks to always know where your smugmug site lives, then I'd recommend changing your profile so it always shows with your posts. To do that, click You! (above and to the left), then click Edit Signature and includee your smugAddress in your signature.

You can post the photo as opposed to the link to the photo by using the "insert image" button in the toolbar when you post a message - it's the square that looks like a picture of a mountain (if you hover over the buttons, help will pop up telling you what it is).

Or you could post the link to the specific photo(s). It's easier on the readers to see the photo inline with the text though.

Hi there Colz,

I see you had a bit of trouble posting your bird in flight shot.
I have fixed the link for you so your image now shows up.

The problem was you had an error ... check out my reply to you where you posted your Bird shot

As you can see the forum is divided into many sections.
I see your album is also divided into sections.

Post an image into the section your image relates to.
but remember not to flood the board with mass of new posts.

You can always put your ALBUM address into your Signature,
then everytime you post on the forum the link to your Album will be at the end of your post.
