The Downy Woodpecker is the smallest and most abundant of the woodpeckers. I took this early this year and just ran across it looking for something else. This is a very difficult capture in the woods because the light changes with every little hop and flutter. This one is a female.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Cool shot and I know what you mean about the light changing every second.
