A wonderful portrait, I really like the boys expression and the feeling you could almost touch him. I agree about the crop, but I don't think it is underexposed, rather it is just the sun causing those shadows which are easily lifted in photoshop. I don't think that the hair and forehead can't take any more exposure without being blown out. A lovely portrait, anymore? Susan

It is a bit underexposed and a bit low contrast, but that is nothing photoshop can't fix!
Also, I would consider cropping off a bit of the top of his head to bring the focus down to his eyes and away from the wooden structure at the top.

Appreciate your comments! Yes, I agree it's a little flat. It was shot in very strong sunlight, that's maybe the main factor.
