Question about the new Pic sizes

(Please forgive me as I am unsure exactly what category this post should go into.)

A good chunk of the pics on my site I uploaded before the new pic sizes came out a few weeks ago.

1. Must all pics be removed from gallery X and then uploaded again to enable the new sizes?

2. Can I just rename a gallery of pics and they will get the new sizes, or must I move pics from the 'old gallery' to a newly created gallery?

3. Is there a tool that can make this change for us? Either via delete a gallery then recreate it and upload the pics again?

Is there a FAQ for this, I'm sure I'm not the only person to ask these questions?

    In each gallery under photo tools click on SmugMongous (bulk).

    Nope, just go to photo tools>SmugMungous! (Bulk) and generate the new sizes :)

    One last Q (how many times have I said that....;-) )

    Can I set the default view size for all pics as XL or 2XL when folks use the lightbox, and then have it size down only if there screen is too small. Try for 2XL and go to AUTO if it won't fit?

    No, but just let Auto do its' job :D
