Just as an FYI to you and to potential buyers - Best Buy service plans are not "no questions asked replacement warrant[ies]." I do fully believe that the salesman told you that, but it's not true.

If the camera stops working from mechanical or electronic defect, dust, heat or humidity - you take it to the store and they'll send it to their service center. They'll fix it and send it back to the store, and you go pick it up. They only replace it in the rare event that they're unable to fix it or if you've had to send it off four times (they replace it on the fourth trip).

It does not cover water damage or any kind of abuse (dropping it, kids fill it with cheerios).

It's still a great thing to buy a camera with (especially a used one) and adds a good bit of value to this sale (IMHO).

Not trying to cause trouble - just want to make sure there are no surprises for anyone!

I had to jump in here to say something, but that site you mentioned is a scam http://www.resellerratings.com/store/TheCameraProfessionals. Your probably not going to find a reputable place selling the D80 for anywhere near the 400 dollar mark. I'm not doing this to start anything, I just don't want to see anyone get ripped off. Sorry if I stepped on any toes, but again, it needed to be said.

EDIT: Seems like Phyxius already beat me too it, but yeah SCAM!

ya, your right. that is a place that wont sell you the body unless you pay for the triple cost extras..(including the battery)
