Pileated Woodpecker (6 images)
I was wandering around Mud Lake here in Ottawa on Monday and was just about to pack up the car and head home when I heard the familiar drumming close by. Upon investigation I found this lady hard at work on a dead tree. She was only about 3 or 4 feet above ground level and she let me sneak (and I use the term very loosely - crunch, snap, rustle, stumble, stagger, crunch...) up to within about 10 or so feet of her. Any closer and I would have been inside the minimum focussing distance of the Sigma 80-400mm OS lens I had on the D100.
Anyway, enough rambling from me, on with the show.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
If I had to pick a winner, it would be 1, 3 or 6
Bugs
Spiders
Flowers
