Terrific set Harry. I'm sure glad to see that you're happy with it and getting great results. I think it's going to be a great camera, given the limited amount of time I've had with it. Anixous to see what you do with your D3 when you get it.

I've been afraid to click and view this topic, very afraid, but I just couldn't resist.

And reading "I thought the D300 would be an incremetal improvement over the D200 I was absolutely wrong, its much, much more than an incremental improvement", is what I was afraid of learning...

I can feel myself being lifted by these words, as my wallet tries to escape from my back pocket...

Anyway, I'm actually thrilled to learn about the D300, and hope to eventually have one and keep my D200 as backup.

Your D300 bird photography is amazingly impressive, WOW!!!

Great shots, Harry. Nice to see the D300 is living up to its promise. The high ISO stuff looks great. If I didn't have so much Canon glass, I'd consider jumping ship.

BTW, love that sunset shot. thumb.gif

Thanks Christina, I shoot in aperture priority with matrix metering and I then make EV adjustments as necessary. Good luck with your D300.
