Priviet, dear friends!
Minimalism for me -is an abstract art based on geometry forms...
Not simplicity!
My try ... was taken 8 of March at the local car washing ... room (sorry for my English). A lot of steam. A lot of sun...
Here's a result:

Interesting to know what do you think of it.

Yuri I think its wonderful... it reminds me of some of Josef Sudek's black and whites which I really admire. This picture makes my pulse rate go up .. funny how shots can affect you.clap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

Love the texture of this shot, very much like a charcoal drawing which has always been one of my favorite art forms. Nice job!

Beautiful shot Yuri! My only concern is that it feels like it's leaning to the right ne_nau.gif

The photo is dead perfect, it's the shoddy tilework. Check out the the joint line between the tile and the window... I'd have gotten fired if I did that while working as a contractor!

Yuri - I do like this shot, but two distractions make me feel not so "minimal" about it. First, the debris on the inside of the window ledge... what is it? why is it there? Second, you can see something out of the windor... again, what is it? did you mean for us to see it? the answers to those questions take away from the simple lines of your composition.

I have to respond to this Erik.. to me the debris and the thing in the window are wonderful.. to me it gives the feel of the place.. and I thought that was a fence with snow maybe..to remove these everyday signs of life would be to serilize the shot..clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

You're right, but that was my point... there's too much story there. Take it out of the context of this minimal challenge and I'd be praising it for those very same points. Someone mentioned that emotion, or lack thereof, is a big part of minimalism. That's where my comments came from. While "simple", this (great) photo draws lots of emotion because of the points I mentioned.

    Yuri, FANTABULOUS!!!!

I agree with everyone that this a wonderful, WONDERFUL picture and I have to agree with Eric that in the context of the "minimalist" challenge there might be too much story there. clap.gif
