Christmas came early for me!!!

Wow, I am so excited!!! My fiance and I went to top off our list of gear for our 3 week honeymoon next year by buying some tripods. I bought a gitzo tripod with manfrotto ball head and my fiance bought the manfrotto tripod and ball head. Unexpectedly, I ended up buying the Canon 30D as it was being cleared out of the store for $999.00! I just couldn't say no to that, especially since it was only "until supplies last". I had originally been saving up to buy the Canon 40D with the kit lens (17-85 IS) with my total cost being $1920.00. However, I felt that since I already have the 24-70mm 2.8 on the way, buying the 30D would be the better way to go. I went to the zoo the next day and I am most impressed with everything about this camera compared to my Rebel XT. Just thought I'd share 'cause I'm so darn excited!!! :barb
Canon 30D & REB XT (thinking of converting to infrared), Sigma 10-20mm, Tammy 17-50mm 2.8, Canon 24-70mm 2.8, 70-200mm 2.8 IS, Tokina 100mm 2.8 Macro, Canon 50mm 1.8, Canon 1.4 ext, and Sigma 4.5 fish eye along with a Bogen by Gitzo Tripod, Manfrotto Ball Head, MacBook PRO, several HOYA filters and a 2GB & 8GB San Disk, 160GB Sanho storage device (really cool btw)......wishing for a Canon 100-400mm. :wink

    Congratulations! the 30D is a BIG STEP from the XT, I hope you enjoy it (ps: show us some pictures!).

    15524779-Ti.gif - and congrats on the new member of the family. You are going to love that camera. It is a very nice step up from the 300D/350D/400D family.
