This one's for you motorcycle nuts...
I have a habit. A motorcycle habit. I've owned more than I care to admit to.
A couple of weeks ago, I grabbed a ticket.
One way from Zone 3 to Zone 1. Zone 1 is the end of the line for this
bad boy...
It was a gray day. I spent a Saturday here for the Motorcycle show.
Even though I've lived here all of my life, I have trouble navigating around
the City. But I declined the offer of a ride for a walk of a couple of miles.
It was a drizzely day but the excitement more than made up for it...
For soon, I found myself in front of a little slice of motorcycle heaven.
Scuderia.
I was getting ready for a snap of my new baby...but the lights went out
and this was all I got.
It takes about an hour to get from San Francisco back down the Peninsula
and home. The drizzle turned to rain and let's just say that even with rain
gear, I was pretty wet.
You can imagine my joy when the following day dawned clear. Although
still wet, I went for a ride. She's a sexy beast...
Black and Orange are the hallmark colors for KTM.
Aint she a beauty?

We need sometimes to escape into open solitudes, into aimlessness, into the moral holiday of running some pure hazard, in order to sharpen the edge of life,to taste hardship, and to be compelled to work desperately for a moment no matter what.

What is the number of this beast in terms of the motorcycles you have owned?
For reference, I am working on my 10th, so far in this life. Not ridden, but owned and ridden
And everyone knows that KTMs are not black and orange, they ARE Orange and Black!! Always have been. My son's 640 motard, certainly is!

measure for counting.
As for color, clearly the boy got the slower color
Enjoy your new toy!
You suck. But seriously, you should send me one of your bikes, no way you can really ride them all.
love,
-doc
PS. Congrats
Good question! let's hijack Ian's thread!!! Are we counting off-road bikes as a kid (ie. that mom and dad bought for you)? If so 15, if not 12.

skooters don't count.
regards,
Heywouldya Buzzoff.
Why thank you! And you're familiar with Scuderia? They're a great bunch for
sure.
it only took you an hour to get it home?
When I bought my Electraglide, it took me 6 hours to get it home (I took the long way). For those keeping count, it was my third bike of the modern era (all of which I still have) and fifth overall.
Nice bike, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Except I just found out they don't carry Suomy anymore - that's a bummer. I'm due for a new hat.
Congradulations! And good seeing you on that other forum!

ha ha! there's been a big shift in lid sales. santa clara sells suomy (i think).
i just got a new hooligan lid from them road rider no longer sells arai. they
have some new stuff now. you could also go see raul at cycle gear in sjc.
ok doc. the growlers are a good thing. therefore, i will allow it. oh, and the
heated grips and guards? mandatory additions. i'm going to get a 16t counter
shaft sprocket and maybe a couple of other items--like a tankbag or tale
pack and some wider bars ala the pro taper's.
and as far as the hour? well, if you think sitting in a puddle is cool, go for
it
Now that you're a bay area supermoto owner, methinks I should introduce you to Stockton Motorplex and the love that is $25 trackdays.

Same here. You should come try the Bay Area out
Deal! When I'm over there I'll be sure to drop you an email
I just need to work out where the Bay Area is now
I hope I'm guessing right (and correct me if I'm wrong as I'm not very clued in on US locations) it's around San Fransisco?
I am one of those who are geographically challenged - i can just about make it out of the drive way.
Tends to make all bike rides an adventure because I invariably get lost!
Cheers
