Holiday Disneyland

For Thanksgiving this year, we couldn't go anywhere, and no family could come to us... So what do you do? Go to Disneyland!

Main Street

It was pretty crowded in the morning, and we were worried that it would last all day.

Cinderella's Castle

The castle suffered a freak snow storm which seemed to miss everything else in the park (except the Matterhorn)!

Small World Holiday

I don't think you can really appreciate Small World until you have a toddler.

Inside Small World

Disney really spruces it up for the holidays and they add some variety to the music. Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls.

Small World at Night

When the lights go out, it becomes spectacular.

Dumbo

The crowds cleared out right around dinner time (fancy that on Thanksgiving!). So we were able to stay late and get on some more rides.

Castle Transformation

The castle undergoes a remarkable transformation around 5:30, and it even snows for a little while.

After about 11 hours, we were all ready to go home.

I hope you enjoyed this little trip through Holiday Disneyland!

Really neat shots. I had forgotten how cool DisneyLand is after dark.

    Thanks for posting

Thanks, Mike! It's rare we get to stay after dark with our 2-year-old... so I'd almost forgotten, too. :D

Nice shots. I didn't know they decorated a small wonder like that.

Thanks Elaine and Saurora! I think the icicles are new this year (well, I don't remember them from before anyway). I think the snow on the turrets in the daytime looks a bit silly, but the lights at night are pretty cool.

    Hi there Chris,
Ohhhhh this is my most favourite place to visit in USA clap.gif
I just love Disneyland I tell you.
Each time I visit USA I try and tack Disneyland in there some place,
either on arrival or before I depart the country.

You can have sooooooo much fun there, even by yourself.
I go by myself and I just have an absolute ball :D

Got yourself some beautiful shots there Chris thumb.gif
    Thanks for sharing..... Skippy :D

    Thanks Tim and Skippy!

It's not called the Happiest Place on Earth for nothing! I've been there more times than I can count now, and I still enjoy it. I'm sure seeing it again through the eyes my son helps a bit. I certainly spend more time on the slow rides than I ever did before. eek7.gif

I like the dumbo shot the most. I'd consider adjusting the WB to be a bit cooler and reduce the green cast. I take it you were using a tripod?
    Didn't know they allow that.

Thanks, Tom. Nope, no tripod... I was resting the camera on the rail right before we got on the ride. I did see a few tripods while there, though. I don't think they're incredibly strict as long as you don't impede traffic too much.

I agree, I'll play with the WB a bit and see what comes out.
