I am going to make one thread and continue to update instead of continuing to make new ones. That is unless I don't get any feedback when I post new stuff, because it is VERY much needed! Especially for this challenge.
I finally got the concept of minimalism down. Now to make it interesting... hmmm.

I like the color, the grain, the concept and composition. Simple, and subtly follows rules of thirds.
The only thing I might suggest is in the spirit of minimalism, to find a way to minimize the reflections that imply the room around the object. It's the simplicity of the object that is the point, no? Not sure, maybe some white card stock to block the relfections?
The interesting thing for me in this challenge is that I don't think I'm going to see an image that engages me emotionally, I guess that's kind of the point, yet that's how I personally judge most pictures. Interesting challenge, not only in the shooting, but also in the appreciation and critique.

Purified- beautiful shot, hands down. I agree with trying to rid the ball of the reflections/hot spots, I think that would push the image over the winning edge. nice job!
There seems to be texture on the "ground" directly underneath the sphere, but that texture disappears too suddenly. Might want to bring it out more, or get rid of it?
Also, there are some specks that are visible just outside the edges of the sphere, one at the 1, 4, and 9-o'clock positions. I dunno what those are, but you might want to mop those up too...
The highly reflective surface definitely makes this one a tough one to shoot!
I love the color and composition!
I love this idea! The color is great. I agree with the others on the spots. Great job! dawn
