Doc & i decided to catch the 9am ferry to Stradbroke Island today to see what we could see. I wanted the fast one but doc wanted the slow one...thus an hour later we arrive,
One of the beaches .. the island is 38 klms x 11 klms ('bout 23 miles x 7 miles).
This beach is 30 klms long.
Local board shop.
I just got out of this in time...wet jeans though...and ive just noticed some really ugly processing..i will do it again.
Full ferry for the hours trip home.
The FAST ferry i wanted.
Doc wont want to go home to USA after his term is finished
Lots of great places to visit up Gus's way.
Love the shot with what looks like an incoming storm
Nice work Gus ..... Skippy

come on! we were beating the fast boat for like 15 whole minutes!!
And we practically had the joint to ourselves on the way there! I bet that other boat with its pies and coffee was filled to the gills!
my photos of the island are practically identical to gus (although his with the polarizer are indeed a bit nicer). So instead, I'll just show you photos of gus taking photos:
Gus is really good at reading signs... except for ones in English, German, Chinese, Korean, or Italian.
Where's Waldo?
And my version of the impending storm, as it was pretty much my best shot of the day:
Nice, doc! It took me a while to find Gus in the forest, given he wasn't wearing red and white stripes. I really like your shot of the impending storm too, very picturesque

Of course, having moved to the US then to Canada means that the ferry ride is just that little bit longer to get there.
