Sooooooo.....I asked for advice here last year and got lots of help.
My rents are wanting some ideas for christmas shopping and want to know if there is anything camera-ry that I'd like....silly question I thought!

I'm intrigued by the gorilapod and thought that would be a good start...working on a camera budget of about $200

I wondered if there was something that you guys would suggest otherwise...l wondered about another camera bag...mines packed to the gills!
I have a 70-200 IS USM 2.8 a 50mm 1.8. 1 dig and one film body.

I do location (horse shows) shoots and use a backpack to keep everything right in hands is handy, but I find that taking the pack of my back to do this is sometiimes cumbersome, anyone use those slings???
At home I have a wacom tablet for editing, a card reader for uploading 2 ext hard drives and ps. So I'm set in the editing stuff, but is there a program that I should ask for that is easy to use for keeping track of expenses for business purposes. I have been manually figuring and keeping track of expenses to do a job but a program that would allow me to do this would be fantastic! :rolleyes boring but helpful!!!

Any thoughts? It was here that I found out about the tablets....I don't know what I'd do without it now!!!!

Thanks in advance!

well, I have a gorillapod, BUT what I love most is my lowepro 200 slingshot bag. I got it from Amazon, where it was a lot cheaper than in the shops. It's great because it's extremely accessible and it takes a lot of stuff. I use the slingshot all the time. Most of my shutterbug friends are a bit jealous and wish they had one. I'd recommend it in an instant.

i have a 100AW slingshot but abut to get the 300. Nice thing is they just swivel around to the front and you can get camera and switch lenses and whatever....no need to take it off.....i second a slingshot!

the only thing with a slingshot, is if you're a girl (I don't know, are you?), you might want to utilise the spare strap which helps balance out the weight, for reasons that the diagonal strap can cut across one's figure in a less than flattering manner.

Will any LowePro Slingshot camera bag hold a 1D MII body WITH a 70-200 F2.8 lens ATTACHED? The bag design looks like it's not setup to hold a camera that long. If someone here uses a slingshot with a 1D body and 70-200 f2.8 lens and can take a photo showing how they fit this kit into the bag, I'd LOVE to see it. I'm quite interested in this bag but I hate to take my lens off my camera body (dust, dontchaknow). The slingshot 300 is 11.5 inches wide (which is the "long" direction for the camera body, per the photos on LowePro's site). I currently use a LowePro Toploader AW 75 which is 12.5 inches tall and my camera barely fits this bag.

    Thanks!

I ordered a sling and sent it back.

The design sounded like a good idea, but it wasn't comfortable for me (yes, another woman...) to wear. I went with the Tamrac Adventure 7 backback (and it nicely carries the camera w/ lens attached and 2 more lenses, but I think you'll would probably want the next larger version with 2 bodies and with the 70-200 IS. Although I'm sure 2 bodies with attached lenses would fit, just don't know about trying to fit another lens in then.
