So any suggestions on great Macro in wintertime?
My memorablepics.com has some summer and fall macro shots, I am wondering just how many snow (Boston) shots would be compelling, especially Macro

    It's always worth playing...

But I suppose it really depends on what our winter is like, isn't it? And while I'd like to believe that the snow that is forecast for tonight isn't going to happen, I think I need to pull my head out from my shell and be prepared for morning white stuff.

I haven't done much macro shooting yet, but I did throw the macro lens on my camera after a snow last winter to grab some images. I don't think that either of these images really falls into the macro category even though they were taken with a macro lens, need to get closer, closer, closer... I'm still learning, so my one of my goals for this winter is better macro play.

This one's a bit odd, but I thought it was worth a try...

Depends a bit on what you find interesting.
If you like bugs you can often find some in leaf litter
Lots of things to do with water- water drop shots (ie hitting a water surface), Still get dewdrops often in winter or ice/frost patterns. Drops on cds, soap bubbles.
You can buy flowers all year and photograph them - make a light box and try shooting still lifes/product shots.

What I should be doing in winter is sorting out the shots from the rest of the year but never seem to get round to it :)
