I have written about this guy before. I sit here in my office and hear the screeching he does to call his mate.

I get my camera, go out and find him:

He has a real knack of being tough to find in the trees. I can hear him, but finding him is always tough.

Soon, he finds me:

I get a shot or two off, pretty much always obstructed:

He gives me one last screech:

And he's gone.

Usually I get the departure shot as well, I must be losing my touch.

I couldn't sneek up on a '47 Buick, let alone this guy.

My 5 minute adventure for the day.

It is the purpose of life that each of us strives to become actually what he is potentially. We should be obsessed with stretching towards that goal through the world we inhabit.

I know as photogs we usually like to get that "clean" shot but I also very much appreciate shots that show off the subject in its habitat. It looks you captured this red shouldered hawk(?) in its habitat. Good going!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
