how do i make my url appear in the address bar?

in the address bar i see petrovphotography.smugmug.com.

i want it to say www.petrovphotography.com so that my site feels like it flows better with smugmug.

i guess i don't understand how this helps me. I have a functional page. my domain and hosting is done for my page. are you talking about domain fowarding?

Hi, it would let you have for example

http://photos.petrovphotography.com land at your SmugMug site. Like my domain, http://www.moonriverphotography.com

We don't do forwarding, only CNAME Alias. After re-reading that help page, holler to our Support Heroes if you need more help, we'll walk you right through it

ok so if I want my smugmug page to have photos.petrovphotography.com in the address bar. how do i ask my registar to help me?

the example question would be:

How do I set up a CNAME record for my domain to point to petrovphotography.smugmug.com?

is this the right question to ask?
