I'm not sure Mike, but I know that Luben, who's big on IR, retained his Sony for IR when he bought his 20d. If you can bear with me I'll try and find out more
Does anyone have experience with infrared and the Canon 20D? Does it filter too much out to be worthwhile or is it capable of doing that?
Thanks
From what i have read there is a new 20D coming out that does it. There is plenty on the web sites about it & several of them mentioned firing your TV remote at any particular camera to see if it detects it.

I have heard about the 20Da that is coming out soon (which has some odd things like the ability to do great IR and will allow you to compose the shot on the screen on back). But I have the regular old (well not old but you know) 20D and I was wondering how the IR photography worked on it before I bought an IR filter.
Y'all don't want to hear me, you just want to dance.
