Creating Full-Frame Borders in PS?

Is there any way to create the full-frame "film look" border in PhotoShop without paying hundreds of dollars for one of those "Border Pack" software plugins? I would really like to be able to apply this look to some recent shots I took, but I can't find a tutorial anywhere online...

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

If you have some old negatives or slides, you could scan them on a flat bed scanner and use that for a start.

There are files of negative borders on the web also, but I don't have them at my fingertips right now. Someone else may pop in with an answer for you.

Try googling "negatives" and search for images on Google too.

This is a photoshop action I have used in the past with OK results.

Thanks a lot for all the replies guys. I actually ended up scanning in some old negatives on my negative scanner and making a template. I am gonna take some ideas from the stuff you guys posted up too, so it wasnt in vain.
