Butterfly from the summer

Hey guys!

I haven't posted in months, but that hasn't stopped me from shooting! Here's a shot I took back in the summer in my front yard. It was originally in color, and much larger, but since I shoot in nothing but RAW, I thought to crop it and go B&W. I'm thinking I need to play with the contrast so that the flower's petals stand out more against the background vegetation (which, by the way, is eggplant, tomato, and squash).

(Yeah, it's mispelled, but I was tired...lol)

Here's the original:

I do like the B & W treatment better. The color one seems a bit soft, but the B & W looks sharper. thumb.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
