She was watching the dancing tournament...
Somehow the lights brightened up her face...

    A poem
    Alexander Block's "The stranger"

That is a very famous poem by Alexander Blok
    "The unknown woman, a stranger"....
I am absolutely sure, it is already translated some where in English, and you just have to run the search for it.

    let me try:
And slowly, walking between drunken men,
Always alone , without any company,
She takes a seat at the window,
    Breathing perfumed foggy mist.

    Her resilient silk
    Emanate ancient beliefs and wisdom.
As well, as her hat adorned with black feathers,
And her narrow hand with rings.

And captured by this odd intimacy,
My eyes are trying to penetrate her black veil.
And i see the magic shore line...
    And charmed far way land...

I feel like i am trusted with some secrets.
    And someone's Sun...
And every corner and curve of my soul
Is filled with sweet intoxicating wine.

    And these ostrich feathers
Are rocking gently in my mind
    And the deep blue yes
Are blooming on that magic shore...

There is a treasure hiding in my soul,
And i am the only one with the key to it.
Oh, yes, you are right, you, drunken Monster!
Yes, the truth is in vine (in vino veritas-Latin)

Well, the young lady is beautiful. You do have a way of finding them Yuri. But I think this is a special photo because of the tension. Look all around her at the animated conversations and physical touching among the people surrounding her. But there she is, in the spotlight with her friend (?) both of whom appear lost in some contemplation. Do they not know what all the others know? Do they wish they were someplace else? Something is going on here that we are left to wonder about.

    Bravo.

in my opinion probably the best shot you've ever posted here. it is almost like a painting. it is hard to put your finger on but it is a seriously good capture.

I know what is like to capture these shots.
You are walking by and you stop in your tracks because something catches your eye.
I am so lucky to be able to walk around with a camera and record that moment. Sometimes I am more successful than other times.

This pic of yours is lovely. I can feel that "I can't believe what that looks like" feeling from it. Just wonderful.

This photo reminds me of an impressionistic painting. I can't remember which one. It's a great shot

there's so much going on in this shot...conversation, music, etc., but her pose instantly fades all atmospheric noise and you're instantly drawn into her quiet world.

    high marks.
