Hello,
I took this photo in 2006. I like the concept, but think it needs help. Please give me your honest critique.

Thanks,
AR

    AR,
For me the depth of field is a little too narrow and this appears to be an overcast DC day. With the contrast/exposure the sky and memorial are blending together. Maybe a stormy sky or even just a darker sky to bring out the memorial would be great.

The image isn't quite level. You need a little clockwise rotation. That may or may not help the symmetry of the trees. Also, it looks like the memorial and the wall in front of you are not lined up with the memorial, it's slightly off to the right as you're looking at it. I can't decided about the people. The one near the middle is a little distracting, but I love the one off to the left. I'm sure that doesn't make any sense. headscratch.gif

Overall I really like the image and the idea behind it. I didn't even know that inscription was there! I also think black and white is the only way to go with this image. thumb.gif
