That was a good catch; my first meadowlark, even though we could hear them singing all over the fields he was the only one I saw. I'm glad you like him/her.

I have a couple of favorites in this set:
    1. "three's a crowd" I dare you to reproduce this shotmwink.gif
    2. "wishful thinking" now that's a nice sofa rolleyes1.gif and
    3. the meadowlark
Ofcourse the rest are cool too except for that strange bird with the long white lensne_nau.gifrolleyes1.gif
    Excellent set once again William

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I'm glad the Meadowlark has been identified already, since I didn't know what it was! Striking bird. Great set of shots! thumb.gif

Beautiful set, William.clap.gif Love the bird on the lamb, the hawk BIF, and agree that the meadowlark is outstanding!

And that owl closeup -- :jawdrop

So you guys made to Glamis? That's a great shot of the dunes.

    Hi Dallas,

Excellent series. I’ve noticed, in this and other posts, that you have a special knack for capturing the character and soul of the birds you photograph, not just specimen shots, instead your images also display the vigor and joyfulness of birds happy to be alive in their particular environments, in an incredibly artistic manner. I’m very much looking forward to shooting, and learning, with you again soon.

Thanks for the generous compliment Joel, I had a very very good time shooting with you again, and of course the others. We all came back with a more varied collection of birds than last time, and I was especially happy you captured some outstanding images of the owl. I think, (and hope), that we'll have more company on the next trip now that we know the area better; and have the home address of several Burrowing Owls. Thanks for the directions to Glamis; Russ and Jeff both have some very interesting images they didn't post that people will like. Lets do it again soon.

Thanks Graham, I value your compliments, seeing the beautiful images you are posting, and understanding your keen interest in nature photography. Even though the holiday are here, we can all still find some time to shoot at Sepulveda, so give a call when you have time. :D:D
