Very nice! I was there about a month ago, for the first time in 20 years, and I'm amazed at the place. Skippy, they have 2 other galleries just as large, with a fourth planned to start construction in 2008. And for a major museum, very photographer friendly.
I'm still working my way through my shots, but I really like what you did with this one.
great shot! Can we see it bigger, closer to original size?
Thanks everyone! I forgot I posted this and hadn't checked in for a while...
I wouldn't mind posting a larger version but I figured there wasn't much point if the typical monitor is only 12-14" wide. My original file is 16"x82" at 300DPI. (Up resed slightly - I think the native height was about 12" at 300DPI)
The focal length was set at 31mm on a full frame 5D. A 16mm focal length would barely capture a third of the space!
I've added an AVI file to my gallery in an attempt to illustrate how much detail is in this pano. I realize the AVI is not real smooth, but to make it smoother would have gobbled up a lot of memory. If you stop the AVI near the last frame, you can read a sign hanging under the wing virtually dead center in the pano.

Please let me know if you think the AVI is helps to show the detail in the pano or if it's too gimmicky for a photography web site.
Thanks!
