This has taken me a long time, but tonight I edited a couple of shots I took about 2 years ago at Disneyland.

Not being a local I didn't realize that Parks were not open late at certain times of the year,
and so this year I missed my opportunity to do some shots with my 10-22mm :dunno

First shot was taken with the Canon 50mm F1.2
Second shot was taken with the Canon 24mm F1.4 Lens.

There is just something Magical about Disneyland,
that I just love so much :clap .... enjoy .... Skippy :D

The color in #1 is sweet. I love shots that have that tone in them.

    Skip,

When I first saw this post I thought, "He came to Anaheim and didn't call?" But I see that it was a few years ago. . . .

Gorgeous shots. That tower (shot #1) for the rocket ride (circa 1950s) is beautifully redesigned and oft-photographed. Yours is a particularly successful interpretation.

Those are beautiful! Do you remember if you used a tripod or were these handheld? Did you use any sort of noise reduction software on them, or was your ISO low enough because your lens was so fast?

Thanks Tommyboy, I went to Disneyland this year too,
actually I've been there the last three years in a row rolleyes1.gif

It really breaks up the long trip to and from Australia/USA.

I always remember the Rocket Ride
because you have to go past it to get to Space Mountain,
thats my favourite ride in the entire park thumb.gif ... Skippy :D

    Hi Elaine,

I went back and changed my original post,
after reading your reply I figured I should have checked my info
    before I posted it.

So I found that I used 2 different lenses, both are fast lenses.
According to the EXIF on both shots,
I used fairly high ISO settings

Image one was ISO 800 shot at F2.8 1/20
Image two was ISO 1600 shot at F2.8 1/50

I can't remember if I hand held or if I used the tripod headscratch.gif
The fact that I used such high ISO is making me want to tell you I hand held.

In my post processing I increased the blacks, the sky was not that dark.
There was quite a bit of noise in the skyline,
so when I applied my action combination of noise reduction and sharpness,
    that helped also.

I used PhotoShop Elaine, no other program.

Thanks for looking, hope I covered the information you were seeking.

Very nice shots Skippy. I especially like the one of CA at night, since I don't think I've ever been there after dark! Hmm... maybe I'll have to remedy that in the next couple of weeks. :D

During the 50th year, my wife tried to take a picture of every single golden 50. I think we only got about 40 of them. But it was fun looking (without cheating!).

Hi Chris, no matter how many times you go to Disneyland,
one can usually find something you dont recall seeing last time you were there.

I really wanted to do some night shots this time when I was there,
but didn't realize the Closing times change .... ohhhhh well ne_nau.gif

Thanks for looking Chris ... . Skippy :D

The problem is I tend to take wayyyyyyyy too many shots when I travel,
and usually I don't have access to a computer to do any editing during that time, plus I usally stay in USA for around a month when I go.

By the time you get home, it's usually one day at home and straight back to work....... so things get behind ne_nau.gif

You'd really like the 24mm Stef, it's a really sweet lens that one.
