Hi guys,
Bad weather here in France, so i began to digitalize in high resolution my best slides taken in the West of the US on June.
The first slides have been Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Yellowstone. A professional photographer has digitalized them and i worked on the raw images to have the result below.
The images showed this summer after my trip had been digitalized with my home material.
This is now the first slides from the HR images :
Grand Canyon "Sky Conquest" : http://www.poigetdigitalpics.com/GrandcanyonPano.html
I used 3 of my slides to create this panoramic view of the Grand Canyon. My camera was one Nikon F4 using Fuji Provia 100 ISO slide film. The lens was a Sigma Pro serie 17mm at f/5.6 .
The view has been taken on the South rim trail.
Bryce Canyon "E.T in Bryce" : http://www.poigetdigitalpics.com/ETinBryce.html
The rock with the E.T head, the sun, the tree have given this view at the right moment. One of my best picture taken in Bryce Canyon.
Yellowstone "Geyser in the Sky" : http://www.poigetdigitalpics.com/yellowstone8.html
Once again, the right moment with a beautiful light and color. Yellowstone is an incredidle Ntl park. I love it !!!!!!
Yellowstone "Apocalypse Earth" : http://www.poigetdigitalpics.com/yellowstone22.html
Mammoth hot springs in Yellowstone in an extraordinary place. I tried to take this picture to give an apocalypse view.
Other pictures will come in the next weeks and early in 2008.
I hope you will like them.
Best regards,

Photos that don't suck / 365 / Film & Lomography
Hi,
Thank you so much for your very nice message. I am very happy you like the images.
It is also a pleasure to come in the West of the US. I love this place. I try to take different pictures from these known places with an artistic touch and to bring a vision of another World.
" Other Worlds " is the title of my photographic project combining my pictures of the West landscapes with my astronomical images of galaxies and nebulas. Two different Worlds but similar Worlds : Between Sky & Earth.
Each time, the West gave me incredible lights. My pictures of the Grand Canyon is one of the best i've taken. I love Yellowstone. There is a lot of work to do over there.
Thanks thanks once again.
Warmest Regards,
Florent
Thanks my friend
Maybe the title of my post was not good .
Thanks to you.
Warmest Regards,
Florent
I hope to see more from your project. It sounds like a wonderful idea!

I think you will love Yellowstone.
Oh Yeah, it is not easy to take these Ntl parks with a different view. I think my artistic approach (difficult to explain) gives me the images you can see.
By example, my picture of " E.T in Bryce " in Bryce Canyon, i did not have seen it from other photographer. I found this place incredible with the tree. To give the impression of a strange landscape on Earth.
Thanks
Warmest Regards,
Florent

A different angle, light, and interpretation can produce a unique image of a well known place. <o:p></o:p>

Thank you very much Sam. I thought, i am not american and maybe i have another view to take my pictures about the U.S Ntl parks and its landscapes. I don't know, it is difficult to say. I know i love this place in the US since my first trip here. Even after 6 trips in the West, there is a lot of work to take new pictures, i feel it.
Once again thank you.
Warmest Regards,
