Hi Y'all,

When I last posted pics of the Black-Bellied Whistling Duckings they looked like this

Three weeks later

Since these shots were taken almost all of the BBWD's have migrated out.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Its a back-breaking bone-jarring 10 minute drive from my house normally. If the sheriff's department is out and about and I stay within the speed suggestion its 15 minutes. :marlin

Great set Harry! It seems we make it harder and harder for birds to survive each year.

The survivor rate was much higher this year probably due to the fact that they had more vegetation to hang out in and weren't in the open as much as in past seasons.

Nice series Harry. Good followup all the way too.

I hope they aren't coming this way cause the New York airspace is all screwed up this year.

Thye did have good parenting. Before they took the duckings into the open one of the parents would chase off any birds in the area.

Thanks Glenn and that we do. The only way my great grandchildren will see wildlife will be through old pictures.

What a beautiful and fascinating series.

I'm struck by the size of the bills on the older chicks and how they look so large in proportion to their body and head. Reminds me of puppies, with big paws.

Thank you Jeff and its the holiday seasons, lets not talk about rodents.
However I did love the "relocator" and I'm busily at work making one of my own.
