video embed

From what I've read on the forums there isn't a way to do this, but I'd like to chime in with my request (or if someone knows how to do it even better):

Videos I upload to SM, can I embed them in other webpages like my blog?

    This should get pretty straightforward once we get our Flash player done, but there's no time line on that.

    On the question on how to embed a video with the current Quicktime plugin we're using: stay tuned, I'll ask our team.

    Cool! Thanks for this temporary workaround. It works great with SmugMug style links. Don't try using the lightbox links. Could you add a short note not to use lightbox links as this was the first thing I tried.

    thanks boss, don't come to this side of town often and this was the most "official" looking search hit.


    Just a sidenote: my motivation for looking for this was to share some videos with advrider folks. Now, I can give a direct LB link, but that puts them on top of a gallery of silly videos I don't really want to share.

    Unfortunately, no html on that forum. Is there currently a good way of sharing videos on forums?

    embed code not working in wordpress.org
    I tried using it as code in a post, but it doesn't do anything but freeze. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I asked smugmug tech support about it and they indicated that they won't have anything official until their new player is released. Thanks.

    Sam's still working hard on an embeddable Flash player and we think we're close, but we were slowed by the security upgrades we had to make time for.
