Hi everyone. First post - just took this photo this weekend, and used it as my first practice with layers (I bought a mag with a tutorial). Pretty exciting for me to discover a small bit of the potential from photoshop.

I saw this street performer as I was rushing through the streets, and snapped 3 quick shots. This was the only one that came out decent looking.

    very nice
Very nice. Was it quite a bit of work doing the selecting so you could isolate the subject?

Those 'statue folks' in the cities are amazing. Can you tell I am very rural? Nice shot, and welcome to Dgrin.

Josh, it wasn't too difficult getting the image onto another layer. I used the magnetic wand thingamabobby, and most of the image had enough contrast with the background to be selected automatically. So, it turned out to be a really easy job on my part.

Here's an attempt at attaching the picture:

There we go - fixed it! Just had to copy image location, not link location. Thanks all!
