I can’t tell you how happy I am for you! For too long have the poor wrenched Nikonions lived like trolls under a cold mold encrusted bridge in the dark.

Sometimes, on the an inky black moonless night you could here them slavering, and mumbling barley intelligible chants of “ we don’t need high iso…..full frame, bad… bad……..we will rise again………”

Now at long last you can walk upright in broad daylight, and proudly hold your Nikons for the entire world to see, and it shall come to pass when you will no longer be shunned, or pitied.

EOS-1Ds Mark III had not been released yet (or at least not shipping). They even mention in the article they were trying to meet a publishing deadline and there would be more cameras coming out before year end. Interesting why they list the finalists, but not the entrants, or at least the actual cut-off date.

Better luck next year, which for Pop Photo ends on August 18, 2008....

Oh, and who's my daddy? Chuck Westfall, of course!

And, just think...I finally have a camera to be proud of and I don't even use the inscribed D300 neckstrap...I use my smugmug strap. <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/wings.gif" border="0" alt="" >

I don't care who you are, that right there is funny! :D

Nikon certainly earned the award this year, at least based on the paper specs.

Wow! He not hits his Nikon hard :smack , he took it to China and shot it:gun2 with over 250 rounds of ammo and a mummy (or was that a dummy?).

Really it is just easier to use a Cannon...It would have taken only one shot to put that Nikon out of its misery:rambo
