Hi Kids,

Are we having fun yet.

I work as a scientific photographer and have access to more microscopes at last count 3 Nikon compound, 2 stereo, 3 Olympus compound, 2 stereo, 2 JEOL scanning electron microscopes. 1 field emission and 1 tungsten gun.

Unfortunately much of my work is proprietary and cannot be posted.

I am looking for a new hobby, So I decided to get a good camera, My little Nikon 5900 is OK for traveling, but not for what I have in mind. so I just ordered a D200. I have some good glass to go with it from eons ago when I was playing with film (105mm). Now comes the accessories, bellows, tubes and the like. This is going to drive me further into debt :rofl

I spent some time looking around this forum before getting my feet wet. There are some amazing works being posted.

Agreed but that is the crazy thing with SEM. Detail (resolution) and magnification are paramount. We can look at an object and see things in a different way.

I did a bit of this while on work term many years ago.
I have no idea what the equipment was that I used but it was cool and
I even took a pic of some Diatoms that ended up in my portfolio.
Very interesting line of work you're in.
