I got a bit carried away because I became fascinated with the patterns that the burning flint made. I hope you find these as interesting as I do - or maybe I'm just wierd. :dunno

    I really like 2 and 3....

2 Because you can see more detail in the finger and the sparks are more clearly defined and more of them.

but I like 3 because you can see/feel the finger moving the wheel, you can actually see the indenture of the spark wheel on the finger..
You're only as good as your next photo....
One day, I started writing, not knowing that I had chained myself for life to a noble but merciless master. When God hands you a gift, he also hands you a whip; and the whip is intended solely for self-flagellation...I'm here alone in my dark madness, all by myself with my deck of cards --- and, of course, the whip God gave me." Thankyou everone for your kind words.

Pyro, this is what I was afraid of :D . It bugs me that the lighter itself in these Zippo shots is blurred, even though they have much greater impact. I think I'll put a plaster [Band-Aid] on my thumb :cry and revisit my technique.

I like the hand in your original entry, but I prefer just seeing the sparks in #2. The flame somehow distracts from the theme, whereas the sparks nail it. :D
