Curiously, yes, but he did not budge so I would have been taking pictures of the same pose so I decided that two were enough, plus the light wasn't all that great. I was on the shoreline and he was about 15 feet away in the shallow water. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks Chris. Bird photography can certainly be a case of 95% boredom and 5% of exhilaration.
Thanks Harry. I was the glad to the flash did not wash out the colors too much either. Thank goodness I can redirect my flash lighting. Most of the time I point it forward and up about 45 degrees for fill only.

Yes, a cold front was moving through south Texas at this point. There was still some sun but when I took this pic I needed a flash.
