    Yes, a cold front was moving through south Texas at this point. There was still some sun but when I took this pic I needed a flash.

    I could never get close enough to these guys to get a decent shot,
    it's a good thing his eyes were closed when you snuck-up on him.
    Did he stick around after you got these shots?

    Curiously, yes, but he did not budge so I would have been taking pictures of the same pose so I decided that two were enough, plus the light wasn't all that great. I was on the shoreline and he was about 15 feet away in the shallow water. Thanks for the comment. :D

    Thanks Harry. I was the glad to the flash did not wash out the colors too much either. Thank goodness I can redirect my flash lighting. Most of the time I point it forward and up about 45 degrees for fill only.
