Burmese girls

Minority girls in Northwestern Burma

There are over 150 different tribes in Burma and I have no idea which tribe these girls are from. They were not keen about having their picture taken but I offered a gift to their mother which she accepted pleasantly. Their faces are covered with Thanakha paste, a cosmetic-sunblock favored by less urbanized Burmese.

This picture was taken in Bagan which is one of the major tourist cities in Burma and is the most important center of Buddhism in SEA. There are hundreds of temples on a vast plain next to the Irriwady River.

Taken at 11:29 under a blazing sun with the wonderful 18-70 lens

    I love the girls' photo-

    the looks and the color and the makeup-

    it needs a little work but I believe you can 'pop' it or whatever to brighten it some-

    and the bldgs look like a bunch of anthills-

    some neat stuff-

    Yes, the shot of the girls is really nice, but needs pop, which also gets rid of the yellow cast on the shot:
