This 4-5 month old female cub copped a massive gash across it's muzzle during a feeding frenzy, and acted as if nothing happened :huh. They are one tough predator!

    While I was checking that, I came across this in the Wikipedia:
    Until the late Pleistocene (about 10,000 years ago), the lion was the most widespread large land mammal beside man. They were found in most of Africa, much of Eurasia from western Europe to India and the Bering land bridge and in the Americas from Yukon to Peru.
    I did not know that! Cool.
