Ok, Calling all Nascar fans, It's the off season and many of us are suffering. Let us fill this thread with images to hold us over till Daytona. I hope this takes off and a lot of people post, but I must say I have plenty to share....lol. Cant wait to see what everyone has....

To start, Carl Edwards won the 2007 Busch Championship and I was lucky to be there....Here are two to get the ball rolling.

I enjoy the experience of being at the races more than the race itself, so my photos may be a bit different than others.

wings.gifI LOVE NASCAR!!!!!!!!iloveyou.gifIt's almost time to leave work so I will post a couple pictures later. I have only been to one race and would love to get to more, so if anyone has any extra tickets let me know! The pictures posted so far are a lot closer than I could ever get, but it gets me excited just looking at these pictures. Thanks for the thread!!!

The closest I got to NASCAR this year was a HSR event for ex-Cup cars at VIR.

Well, first, drop me a line before you go - I already have my tickets ordered!

Actually, looking at your site, you look like you know your way around pit road, you have some nice shots there!

One spot at Pocono that I really like shooting from is the entrance of pit road, down at the very end. I'll spend a couple of hours there during Friday's ARCA and Cup practice, it's a good spot to get some close ups of the cars as they enter the pits, as well as some panning shots as they come down the front straight (like the Kasey Kahne shot in my earlier post).

    163995732-L.jpg

    163996532-L.jpg

    86735007-L.jpg
That spot also lets you get some shots as they come off turn 3 (remember, it's a triangle, no turn 4!)

    From ARCA practice, June 2006:
    85865928-L.jpg

    233911458-L.jpg

If you don't have access into the garage area, you can still get some shots of some of the crews at work through the fence in the paddock area (you need to buy a pit pass to get into this area as well as onto pit road)

    163996394-L.jpg

    233911366-L.jpg

Also on pit road, before qualifying:
    85647617-L.jpg

And in case my friend shows up, you may see me working rather than shooting (I'm the guy steering the car)

Cool deal! I certainly will drop you a line! Will you have pit passes? That is so neat that you actually work at the races too....

We will definatley have to chat some. Thanks for the compliments, too. How many races do you get to in a season?

OK, now I have to dig up my pix from the 2007 race. Front straightaway, just past start/finish.

After a midwest winter, I'm thinking Vegas or Fontana this Spring
