South Rim Gazer

My wife and I spent a week in October at the Grand Canyon. I'm still going through my shots, but I came across this one last night.

I have no idea who the young lady is, but she caught my eye as we were walking along the south rim trail. If I hadn't seen her sitting there, I'm sure I would have missed this shot.

Very nice pic! The colors and textures are well captured.

My family and I spent several days there last year (as part of a 2 week Western US driving adventure). That was our first time to the Grand Canyon, and it was breathtaking! Unfortunately, we flirted with rainy weather while we were there, and most views were a bit hazy.

We spotted this fella lounging on a rock just below the lodge on the morning we departed.

My wife and I definitely want to go back!

    Kent,

This is the first GC picture that I've seen that takes me back to being there first hand.

    Nice job thumb.gif

This is really nice. The color and detail is excelent.

I was able to spend about 2 hours there last month, It was a quick, here we are, look at that, snap, snap, ok we are off.

There was a controlled burn, and the smoke was pretty heavy.

That picture certainly gives you a feeling for just how deep and wide that canyon is. And, since I don't particularly like heights, gives me a sense that I'm way too close to the rim just looking at it. :D

    Excellent shot!!!
