Feature request - "Edit Geography (Bulk)"

I'm a big fan of geotagging photos. When I don't carry a GPS, which allows me to automatically geotag my photos with the latitude and longitude, I like to use the "Edit Geography" function under "<photo tools>" in SmugMug.

What would be really neat is to use the same bulk photo interface used for bulk captions or bulk delete to allow me to set the same geographic coordinates on several images at the same time. This would be useful for piccies taken in one place e.g. at a party, in a bar or restaurant etc.

Any chance?

Mike

Hi it's been requested before, and it's on the features request list, thanks thumb.gif

    3 years
First: I love SmugMug. I moved from Flickr a little while ago and I love the API. Keep up the good work.

However, it's been 3 years since you mentioned that this is in the pipeline. What's the current status? I'd love to be able to tag my photos with Geo information and have them display on a map.

Hi, you can do it but there's no bulk way to do it. I'm sorry.

Wow, I forgot that I ever posted this. Technology has moved on since I requested this feature, and while it is still something I would love to see on SmugMug I can now do this easily on my local machine prior to upload e.g. in iPhoto.

Yes, but when you have already uploaded.... i uploaded 3000 photos (cleaning up my archive of 100+ various folders) and now have to re-upload them all to geo-tag them? Doh!

I assumed it would be easier via the web interface (even a "copy" function would be great). How about cloning the multi-photo keyword interface?
