Hi you'll,

I was in the Wetlands last week when this Osprey landed nearby and he was carrying his lunch (sorry Fish).

He seemed pleased with his lunch

when he thought I was going to ask for some he gave me that Andy Williams "Don't Mess with my Ribs" look

pretty soon it was time to leave and start looking for dinner

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Great set Harrythumb.gif I like the don't mess with my ribs look. Is it just me or is the fish "stored" in the tree? When I was younger I was fishing at a local pond and all of a sudden there was this really load SPLASH sound in the water. About 30 seconds later this huge Osprey comes out of the water with a trout. The worst part, it was bigger than any trout I had ever caught out of there in the five plus years I fished there.

    Hey Eric,

He brought the fish in with him (I couldn't get the D100 focused in time to catch his arrival). He chowed down for awhile and left the remains when he was finished. They are amazing to watch on the hunt. If they spot a fish, they get it.

    Hey Shay,

Thanks a lot. Its funny everyone seems to like that 3rd shot and I wasn't all that happy with it. If it hadn't been for the pose I would have culled it out.

I am enjoying Florida, its around 80 degrees today.

Glad you liked it. There was no way I was going to mess with her after that look. She was strict. :D

Yeah, that struck me when you said that. Seems for me at least the ones I like go against what the viewers like. Think I heard that before too, "Photographer not the best judge of his own work." ne_nau.gif

That Osprey is staring right at you. It jumps out at you, perfect eye contact. It mightn't be your best technical shot but it is perfectly titled.

    Take a bow, Harry,

    Hey Trish,

Thanks for the kind comments. The Wetlands and Merritt Island are there just waiting for you to get some serious or even non-serious equipment.

    Hey Jeff,

You're right that "osprey glare" makes the shot. I'm kind of happy too that this one didn't go into the cull file.
