A question regarding comments.

Hey all,

When you leave a comment in either someone's guestbook or a comment on a particular image, how do you get that little icon next to your name in your post? If you go to my guestbook, you will see the icon next to ramdisk's comment.

Also, how so you get the little picture next to your comments? I've noticed that on my site, none of the guestbook comments have this picture, yet all comments on individual photos have it. Is it not possible to have that picture on guestbook comments?

If you look at this page (http://ramdisk.smugmug.com/popular/#120246285) on ramdisk's site, you will see that all comments have both the icon and the picture:

Yet, if you look at this page (http://ramdisk.smugmug.com/popular/#P-2-15), you will see that the comment I left has neither the icon nor the pic. What's up with that?

You need to be logged in and have a bio pic, I believe.

The icon is for OpenID. Here's a post by our CEO about that: http://blogs.smugmug.com/don/2007/02/23/smugmug-embraces-openid/ And David is right that you'll see the SmugMug bio photos of people who are signed in when they leave comments on your site.
